Approach
Andrew will take an unlimited number of pictures, which will tell the story of your wedding day. His unique style of wedding photo-journalism is an alternative to the traditional 'staged' photography so often associated with weddings. With careful use of natural light, composition & space combined with a contemporary documentary style, he captures the true events throughout the day in real time - offering you a photographic record of your day, without having to spend hours smiling at the camera. A large percentage of the pictures he takes at a wedding are captured without the subjects even being aware of the camera. Because of his low-key approach, Andrew's clients can get on and enjoy their day without having to worrying about the photography. You set the agenda for your wedding day and Andrew will fit in. He works quickly & quietly, ensuring you have plenty of time to enjoy your day.

Formal Photography
Although Andrew's style is to document the day, we do understand that most clients do require some informal family groups. Andrew recommends 4-6 groups which should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, but this varies from client to client.

For example:

1. Bride & Groom
2. Bride & Groom with bridal party
3. Bride & Groom with parents
4. Bride's immediate family
5. Groom's immediate family
6. Everyone/friends etc.

If you think you may want more or less groups than above that's fine, you decide on the balance when we discuss this at your pre-wedding consultation.

Colour Photographs
Although Andrew is known for his black & white images, most of our albums contain colour images also. Colour is used for scene setting pictures, details and formal groups, the rest of the day is usually in black & white. The ratio of colour to b&w varies according to individual client taste, you can decide or leave it to Andrew, but is usually about 50:50.

Photographers
Due to his individual style, Andrew is the sole photographer and personally shoots all the weddings, for this reason he is only able to undertake an exclusive number per year. In our experience, being the only professional photographer at the wedding allows him to quietly remain in the background and minimise any intrusion for you and your guests.

When to Book
Andrew shoots an exclusive number of weddings a year. Once we have reached our target number, we close the diary on that year. This is done to ensure each of our clients receive the best possible customer service. Most of our clients book us as soon as they have booked their venues, but give us a call anyway we may still have your date free. We work on a first come basis, so if you are interested call ASAP.

Travel
Andrew regularly shoots all over the UK and has covered weddings in Avon, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Yorkshire, Scotland, Wales, Italy, France and Las Vegas
